• Jasen Ralph Lucas made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash. Lucas also appeared on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Eric Eugene Climer made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an initial hearing on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 9.

• Angel Manuel Madrigal Rosales made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 30 in Magistrate Court.
• Stephen R. Szabo made an initial appearance on a violation of a City of Marshalltown ordinance charge. Szabo pleaded guilty and the fine is $500 with court costs of $347 for a total of $1,847.

Accidents
• On Monday, June 16, an SUV driven by Tuyet Cam Ha Tran, 52, of Des Moines, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer resulting in disabling damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ha Tran SUV was estimated at $10,000.
• On Wednesday, June 11, an SUV driven by Andre Deshawn Campbell, 51, of Eldora, was southbound on Highway 14 when it struck a deer resulting in disabling damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Campbell SUV was estimated at $8,000.
