• Anisha Janae Dye made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-second offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 10. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Jasmeyn Ericka Aguilar made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a failure to maintain or use safety belts charge. Aguilar pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the safety belt violation is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50.

Accidents
• On Tuesday, Sept. 23, an SUV driven by Tina Marie Weber, 39, of Clemons, was northbound on Eastman Avenue when it struck a cow that was walking east on the roadway from the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Weber SUV was estimated at $10,000.
