• Justin Dale Sutton made an initial appearance on a violation of parole charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Sutton is being held without bond.

• Carrick Anthony Hilpipre made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 in Magistrate Court.

• Darrick Rosado Mercado made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge, a failure to display a registration plate charge and a speeding charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 in Magistrate Court.

• Alejandro Angel Cervantes Ordaz made an initial appearance on two counts of a driving under suspension charge, a speeding charge, a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 in Magistrate Court.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Anthony Garcia, 23, was arrested for theft-third degree-enhanced.

• On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Adrian McBride, 25, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended and driving while barred-habitual offender.

• On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Justin Connelly, 37, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Justin Sutton, 44, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of parole.

Accidents

• On Monday, Jan. 26, an SUV driven by Oscar Ramirez, 50, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Main Street Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. There were no injuries. Damage to the Ramirez SUV was estimated at $1,500.
