Man arrested for pre-trial violations

Ostdahl

A Waterloo man was arrested earlier this week by a Marshall County deputy on a warrant for violating pre-trial conditions stemming from an incident earlier this year.

Joshua Thomas Ostdahl, 25, had been arrested May 19 by Marshalltown police on five criminal counts, Marshall County Sheriff Steve Hoffman said. Marshall County District Court documents show the defendant was charged with assault causing bodily injury, domestic abuse-second offense, child endangerment multiple acts and interference with official acts.

A Marshall County Magistrate appointed Mark Olberding, who previously served as Ostdahl’s counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled Nov. 9 and trial Nov. 15. The defendant was being held in Marshall County Jail on $2,000 cash only bond.
