Man arrested third time for domestic abuse assault
Tyler James Sanders, 27, of Marshalltown was arrested Thursday and charged with domestic abuse assault-third.
He was taken by Marshalltown police to Marshall County Jail. Domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense is a Class D felony.
Sanders assaulted the victim causing injury, according the complaint. He was previously charged with domestic abuse assault on June 23, 2011, and Nov. 24, 2012, both in Marshall County.
At his initial appearance before a magistrate Thursday, Sanders was ordered held in jail on $5,000 cash or surety bond. He was also appointed a public defender. The magistrate also issued a no contact order to protect the victim. Sanders’ preliminary hearing is Sept. 23.
