Marshalltown residents burglarize Newton business
Early Friday morning, the Newton Police Department was called to S&L Auto in Newton because people were breaking in.
Upon arrival, officers found Hunter Clark, 18, Drew Quick, 30 and a 15-year-old boy, all of Marshalltown.
One subject fled on foot and was apprehended a short distance away. The other two were arrested in the building.
All three subjects have been charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony.
Quick was also charged with interference with official acts – bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.
Clark and Quick were transported to the Jasper County Jail. The juvenile was released to a parent.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
