Survivors include his daughter, Naomi of Osage City, KS; his mother, Buffy Smith (Demetrius Hinton) of Des Moines; his father, Neil Potter of Des Moines; his maternal grandmother, Arla (Robert) Schmidt of Eldora; his paternal grandparents, Neil and Linda Potter of Tama; his sister, Brandi Potter of El Paso, TX; his significant other, Gabrielle McKeag and her son Maverick of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, John (Kellie) Smith of Eldora, Jenny Smith (Jeff Chamberlain) of Eldora, Wendy Potter of Eldora, and John (Michelle) Potter of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
