Robert “Bob” Boldt, 70, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his residence. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2021, at Peace United Christ of Christ in Gladbrook. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.
Bob was born December 22, 1950, to Dean and Deloris (Conrad) Boldt in Marshalltown. He was raised in the Gladbrook area graduating Gladbrook High School in 1969. Bob was united in marriage with Jody (Blaine) Boldt on January 18, 1969, at Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook. They were blessed with three wonderful daughters raising their family on their acreage they lived on since September of 1972. Bob and Jody owned their own business for 35 years and were “livestock relocation engineers.” He was a member of the Olivet Masonic Lodge, El Kahir Shrine, OOIDA and Peace United Church of Christ. He also loved to spend any free time with his family and friends. Bob had many passions in life, but when it came to him driving his Peterbilt on the open road, that was at the top of the list.
Bob will be missed by his wife Jody, three daughters; Tammi (Chad) Pierce, of Gladbrook, Laurie Boldt, of Lee’s Summit, MO, Carrie (John) Wimberley, of Belton, MO, four grandchildren; Zach Pierce, of Shawnee, KS, Tyler Pierce, of Maryville, MO, Ashlynne Wimberley, of Belton, MO, Josh Wimberley, of Belton, MO, two siblings; Ron (Nancy) Boldt, of Dysart, IA, Jackie Goos, of Gladbrook, IA, multiple neices and nephews and his constant companion Zeva and the nine grandpups many which he babysat daily.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Deloris Boldt; brother, Mike Boldt; close friend Craig Griswold and brother in law Stan Goos.
