Renelle Darla “A-ka-tti-a” Young Bear, 35, of Tama, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at UnityPoint-Marshalltown. A Traditional Wake was held Saturday evening at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services were held Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Settlement.
Survivors include her mother, Reba Blackcloud, of Tama; siblings: Trent Dylan Young Bear, of Tama, Jon Young Bear, of Tama, Carlos Ortiz, of Ankeny, Adrian T. Hoag Jr., of Mesa, AZ and Heather Hoag, of Davenport.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
