Bette Wilson, 92, of Nevada, formerly of Laurel, passed away on Friday, April 3rd, in the care of the Iowa River Hospice home with family at her side. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Bette’s funeral service has been scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, starting at 11:00 A.M. at Laurel Community Church. Pastor Matt Hansen will be officiating. Reid Edward Spencer, 78, of Marshalltown, Iowa, a larger-than-life presence with a booming laugh and an even bigger heart, passed away on April 4, 2026. In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests that memorials be directed to the University of Iowa Hospitals in support of the Iowa Hawkeye Wave or the Alzheimer's Association.
