Election Day is nearly here. I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends, family, and the people who have supported me throughout this process. Your support has meant so much to me.

Campaigning is a lot of work, but it has been worth it. Marshall County is worth it. Our citizens deserve a community where justice is achieved, where everyone receives the protection of the law, and where our families are safe from crime.

I have been blessed to serve Iowans as a prosecutor for twenty years, and to serve here in Marshall County for the last ten years. My experience in prosecuting violent crime, as well as my experience serving as a prosecutor in three different counties, will allow me to put in place policies and practices that will prioritize the prosecution of violent crime and support the prosecutors handling those cases. I support our excellent drug court and the work it does to halt the cycle of addiction and help participants become productive citizens. I look forward to implementing a mental health court in order to help people who struggle with mental illness and are involved in our justice system get the treatment and help that they need.

If you elect me as your county attorney, I will continue to be a good steward of taxpayer money. In the ten years that I have served here in Marshall County, I have written and managed grant processes that have brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal money to pay for prosecutors and victim witness coordinators in our office. I will continue to practice fiscal responsibility and save the taxpayers money.

And I will serve as a leader, both in the County Attorney’s Office and within the Marshall County community. In order to best serve the public, obtain justice for all, and enhance public safety, we must work together. In the eleven years since my family and I have made Marshall County our home, I have become deeply involved in the community, serving on boards and building partnerships with local leaders and community organizations.

I love this community. Marshall County has been so good to my family and me, and I would be honored to give back to this community by serving as county attorney.
