It’s safe to say that some citizens probably couldn’t tell you who the County Attorney is or what they do, however the County Attorney plays a vital role in the safety for all those who live and work in, visit, or travel through Marshall County.

I’ve worked local law enforcement for about 20 years now in Marshall County protecting and serving where I was born and raised. I’ve worked with Jordan on a variety of cases over the years including traffic citations, drunk driving cases, and various other crimes including serious felony cases. Jordan is an excellent attorney.

He’s very knowledgeable with the Iowa Code, ever-changing court rulings, and case law. Jordan has never been afraid to take a tough case to trial to hold criminals accountable and keep our community safe. He does an excellent job keeping everyone updated on the status of cases and is always seeking input from the officers involved in the case before making decisions.

I’ve seen Jordan out at night during the execution of search warrants to be directly involved from the onset of important cases. Jordan worked many years working very closely as a prosecutor with the Drug Task Force taking a hard stance fighting the drug problems that impact our communities. Jordan is known by law enforcement as that “go-to” prosecutor who’s always willing to answer phone calls anytime to provide answers to questions, provide advice, or guidance regarding tough decisions or complex situations.

Most citizens don’t have much interaction with the office unless they are a victim of a crime or selected to sit on a jury. A great source of information about the candidates are your local law enforcement officers. I’d challenge you to try to find a law enforcement officer that has anything negative to say about Jordan.

I pledge my support, and more importantly my vote, to Jordan. I hope those of you who know and trust me will do the same. The County Attorney along with local law enforcement are responsible for maintaining the safety of the community that I live and work in along with friends, family, and all others whose safety I work to protect on a daily basis.
