City council vs. Cartwright Downtown Farmer’s Market

The Marshalltown City Council is being unsupportive of the Cartwright Downtown Farmer’s Market. This market is important to the 30+ almost 40 vendors that participate in it on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The council ignored that we needed two driveways into our parking lot. We know only one off of 2nd Ave. The only other option is to use an alley. Library Board has acted responsibly

It seems that two or three citizens continue to pressure the Library Director and the Board of Directors to offer Epoch Times and American Rifleman. The Board has addressed this issue in a responsible and professional manner many times over the past couple of years. One citizen suggested that the Board may have a liberal bias, and another said that the library may be representing private interests rather than the public interest.
