RACOM an example of Marshalltown’s greatness

On May 21-23, the Iowa Police Chiefs Association held their annual education conference in Coralville, Iowa. Front and center supporting this conference was RACOM. RACOM is an iconic local company that everyone in Marshalltown is very familiar with (if you aren’t, check them out). RACOM’s influence and leadership extends far beyond the Marshalltown city limits. They have long supported public safety throughout Iowa and throughout the country. RACOM supports public safety like few other companies I know. RACOM’s support of the Iowa Police Chiefs Association has been exemplary and ...

We need to be focused

Our family plans a lot of gatherings. We are a togetherness-group so events are happening all the time. In one meeting recently, our three year-old great-grandson had received gifts of coins and bills. He wasn’t interested in how much they totaled, it was enough for him just to count them, separately. If he got a dollar it was just one unit; if he got a quarter it was just one. He had counted up to forty but he lost his focus when the adults spoke over him. When the third time came, it was not successful either. So with a heavy heart, he let out a scream that pierced all of our ears. ...

Kara Warme for Iowa Senate

With the recent retirement of State Senator Jeff Edler, we have the opportunity to select a new State Senator to represent us in Des Moines. I’m enthusiastically supporting Kara Warme. As a member of the Marshall County Board of Supervisors, I worked together with Kara on the Central Iowa Community Services committee working to provide and enhance behavioral health services to the people of our region. I’ve been very impressed with Kara utilizing her business abilities into service as the Chief Development Officer for YSS. She has a background of working two decades in ...

Kara Warme will protect life

As our next Iowa Senator, Kara Warme will always vote to protect life. She has spent her time supporting and volunteering with Birthright, Obria Medical Clinic of Iowa, and Martha’s House of Hope. And now in her role with YSS, her efforts help support pregnant and parenting young moms. Kara will always defend life — unborn and born. Vote Kara Warme for Iowa Senate on June 4.

Warme for Senate, Barker for House District 51 on June 4

Voting for our elected officials is both a privilege and a responsibility that I take very seriously. After studying their literature and meeting with each of them individually, I am confident that Kara Warme is the best person to represent our district in the Iowa Senate and Brett Barker is the best candidate to represent Iowa House District 51. As Governor Kim Reynolds said to a group of over 100 last Friday, Kara will not be outworked and will fight to keep this seat red and to protect the conservative victories made here in Iowa. Kara and her husband Bryan live, work, farm, attend ...
