MCC women fall on Sophomore Night
The Marshalltown Community College women’s basketball team lost its final home game of the season on Thursday, falling to the Grand View University junior varsity, 70-64.
Sarah Kavanh saved the best game of her career as a Tiger for the final home showing, dropping in 28 points on a 6-for-15 mark from the 3-point line, and she grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double. Alyssa Roth and Loralei Siliga each finished with 11 points, while Claudia Morente had eight.
Mackenzie Roberts led the Vikings on the night with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
