Maishe Dailey

IOWA CITY — University of Iowa junior guard Maishe Dailey announced on Thursday that he has submitted his name in the NCAA transfer portal with the intent of leaving the Hawkeye basketball program.

“Maishe has expressed his desire to play his final season elsewhere,” said Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery. “Maishe has been a great teammate and a valuable member of our program and we wish him the best.”

Dailey, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound guard from Beachwood, Ohio, played in all 35 games for the Hawkeyes this season. He averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.

Dailey played in 80 games in his three-year career at Iowa, logging a career-best 16 points in a win over Colorado in the 2017-18 season.
