Epenesa and Duncan earn weekly Big Ten honors
IOWA CITY — University of Iowa defensive end A.J. Epenesa has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and kicker Keith Duncan has been named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Epenesa earns his second weekly honor of the season while Duncan earns his third of the season.
Epenesa set a career-high of 14 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss in Iowa’s 27-24 win over Nebraska.
Duncan nailed a 48-yard field goal with one second left in the game and finished the day 2-for-2. His 29 field goals made this season are the most in the NCAA and sets the single-season school record.
Iowa (9-3) will learn its bowl destination on Sunday.
