Breece Hall and Mike Rose

Iowa State’s linchpins were once again honored with Player of the Week honors Monday following the No. 17 Cyclones’ win over Baylor.

Breece Hall was given Offensive Player of the Week honors following a 31-carry, 133-yard, two-touchdown performance Saturday. The sophomore is the first player in the country to go over 1,000 yards rushing in 2020 and has gone over 100 yards rushing in each of the season’s first seven contests. He’s also scored 14 rushing touchdowns — second in the country.

Mike Rose had the game-winning pick and was named Defensive Player of the Week. The outside linebacker has started every game of his Iowa State career and tied a career-best 11 tackles in the game against the Bears. He leads the Big 12 with three interceptions.

The 5-2 Cyclones are tied for first in the Big 12 and will play Kansas State on Nov. 21.
