The Marshalltown Community College Esports program has announced its three-day Esports Summer Day Camp for Aug. 1-3 on the MCC campus.

The camp is open to any student going into grades 7-12 as well as 2023 high school graduates. Students will experience group and direct title coaching aimed at improving gameplay and strategy. Campers will also have the opportunity to shoutcast and produce livestreams.

Space is limited to the first 50 students each day, and priority registration will be given to those who sign up for all three days. Cost is $50 per day, or $100 for all three days, and lunch will be provided each day.

All proceeds will go toward scholarships for MCC Esports students.

Game titles that will be played during the camp include Mario Kart 8 DX (Nintendo Switch), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Nintendo Switch), Overwatch 2 (PC) and Fortnite (PC).
