WILLIAMSBURG — The Marshalltown boys’ wrestling team overcame an opening loss to win the Williamsburg Raider Invitational Dual Team title on Saturday at Williamsburg High School.

The Bobcats finished 4-1 to win the six-team tournament, outlasting Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union, Williamsburg and Davenport Assumption, who all tied at 3-2.

The team title came down to the final dual against Columbus/WMU, and Marshalltown trailed 29-18 with five matches to go. The Bobcats won four of them, overcoming a 1-point deduction for excessive celebration along the way, to claim the 40-35 victory.
