The Central County Fair is just around the corner, and this year’s lineup of activities at the fair will be fun for all youth and adults. Come to the Central Iowa Fair from July 8 to July 11 and don’t miss these featured youth events put on by the Marshall County Extension Office:

• Master Gardener Sponsored Monarch Tent Experience – Come see live Monarchs. Master Gardener Volunteers have been rearing them since early June. The tent will be located near the Activity Building. Time: July 9, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.; July 10, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.; July 11, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

• Mater Gardener Youth Activities – Come join the Master Gardeners at the fair while they host fun activities for the kiddos. Activities will be around the Activity Building on: July 9, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.; July 10, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.; July 12, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

• STEM Day at the Fair – STEM related activities for youth of all ages to enjoy. Activities will be held in the Activity Building from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. University Air Care will be on grounds with a helicopter and Emerson will be delivering activities alongside many other volunteers. Large groups are welcome and encouraged to attend the event. Time: July 9, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

• Agriculture Day at the Fair – Ag minute to win it games with Farm Bureau, Remington Seeds, Marshall County Conservation and many other volunteers will be delivering fun hands on Ag activities and experiences. Games and activities will be in the gravel Court Yard outside of the Activity Building as long as weather permits. Rain location will be in the Activity Building. Large groups are welcome and encouraged to attend the event. Time: July 12, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

These events are free for everyone to enjoy and are open to the public. Bring the family and friends and enjoy these events with our volunteers. The Central Iowa Fair is located at 1308 E. Olive St.
