Auditors office to share election information at Pachyderm Forum

The Marshall County Republican Pachyderm Forum will meet at noon on Aug. 14 at Legends American Cafe. Communities receive over $700,000 from Alliant Energy and its Foundation

MADISON, Wis. — In its second Community Grant cycle of the year, Alliant Energy and the Alliant Energy Foundation awarded $708,599 to various causes and nonprofits across Iowa and Wisconsin. All Community Grant recipients seek to make an impact in Alliant Energy’s four focus areas: Community safety and engagement, environmental stewardship, workforce readiness and hunger and housing. Mid Iowa Community Action, Inc. announces its sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Meals are provided without regard to race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), age or disability. Child care participants who are members of FIP or SNAP households or who are Head Start participants are automatically eligible to receive free meals. This month’s Mugs and Mamas gathering is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 17 at Guiding Star Marshalltown’s center located at 2501 S.
