Adoption Support Class is on Aug. 16

Guiding Star Marshalltown announces a new program offering led by Sarah Trosen. This group will support families who are in the early stages of adoption or who have adopted through private, foster or kinship care. The next meeting is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 16 at 2501 S. Single tickets for seven Willis Broadway Series Shows

DES MOINES — Des Moines Performing Arts announced that single tickets for seven productions in the 2026-27 Willis Broadway Series went on sale Aug. 6. Hunter Safety class Aug. 20 and 22

A HUNTER SAFETY class is scheduled for Aug. 20 and the 22. Enrollment is now open. The course will be taught at the local Marshall County Izaak Walton League grounds by volunteer instructors. This course is designed for youth ages 12 or older, but adults are also welcome to enroll. Residents and nonresident hunters born after Jan. 1, 1972 must satisfactorily complete a hunter education course in order to obtain a hunting license.
