Marshalltown Christian Schools adds new board members

Marshalltown Christian School announces the addition of Cody Beckham as a new member of the MCS Board of Trustees. Having lived in the Marshalltown area their entire lives, Beckham and his wife, Alisha, have two children aged 4 and 3 years old. One reason Beckham chose to join the MCS Board “is because helping children to know God in everyday learning is one of the greatest gifts one can bestow.” The Beckhams attend Mosaic Church where Beckham serves on the Hospitality Team and has been a part of a group working through a new book that has not yet been released titled The Kingdom ...

Iowa’s youth deer season begins Sept. 19

The Iowa deer hunting tradition will be passed on to about 10,000 young hunters who are participating in the youth deer season, which opens on Sept. 19. This season is designed as a mentor-styled hunt, matching young hunters with a licensed adult to teach proper deer hunting techniques, wildlife behavior and safe hunting practices without the added pressure of other hunters in the field.
