Tickets are now on sale for Terrace Hill’s Victorian Dinner

The Terrace Hill Partnership will host a Victorian dinner from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Terrace Hill, Iowa Governor's Residence and National Historic Landmark. This popular event is returning after much excitement. Terrace Hill Chef, Joshua Wilkins, will prepare a classic, traditional Victorian dinner, presented with five courses, including wine pairings served with each course. VINTON — The popular Fencing and Grazing Clinic is back. This hands-on clinic addresses one of the biggest challenges in implementing any grazing system: the infrastructure. Community Visioning accepting applications for 2027 Program Year

Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program is accepting applications for the 2027 program. Eligible communities are those with populations of fewer than 10,000 residents, existing transportation-related issues and a committee of volunteers willing to dedicate time and talent to the visioning process. USDA funds collaboration to study, support rural well-water users 

AMES — A new grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture will support work to engage rural households who depend on private wells to understand drinking water quality and address potential problems. The $590,000 grant, which provides support for a three-year term, is one of four projects nationwide approved as part of a USDA National Institute for Food and Agriculture Environmental and Natural Resource Economics initiative.
