October meeting of Sigma Master Chapter at Legends

Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch at Legends American Grill on Tuesday with nine members present, two guests and seven members excused. Roll call was taken with the question: “What is your fall outside decoration?”

Vice President Bonnie Speas opened the meeting thanking Joyce Roddan for hosting the day. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved along with the treasurer’s report given. Discussion was held regarding the “sisterhood project” for the Iowa Veteran’s Home. Diane Hobson will be in contact with Terry Gray and decision for the chapter will be made at the next meeting as to donation needed. With no news from International meeting was adjourned.

Health reports were given with great results from hip surgery, as member attended the meeting with no cane; patient in nursing home is being fit with prosthesis and hoping to be walking around soon; the young lady traveling to Mayo continues to gain solutions and answers to health concerns; knee surgery still has pain and therapy continues for another. Could be the age of the group, the oldest chapter, as members continue prayers for all.

Nov. 12 will be the next luncheon meeting to be held at Glenwood Place hosted by Hobson.
