Fourteen members of P.E.O. Chapter BB met Oct. 3 at the Binford House at 1 p.m. Marcia Plett served as hostess with Jan Young, Cynthia (Boo) Mansager and Sandy Short serving as co-hostesses. Before the meeting, Gary Fulton, president of Trees Forever, Marshalltown Chapter, presented a slide program about “Trees in Our Lives.” His program included informative topics about trees in general along with relevant poetry and humor. Ragland receives 2022 Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning Award

BATON ROUGE, LA — Jane Ragland, of Marshalltown, was recently awarded a Love of Learning Award worth $500 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Laurel Legion Auxiliary discusses Christmas Swap

LAUREL — The Harold McBroom Laurel American Legion Auxiliary #635 met at the Laurel Legion Home with seven members present. LaDonna Runner opened the meeting. Laura Tribby gave the opening prayer.
