The American Legion Auxiliary, Frank Lewis Glick Unit 46 of Marshalltown will be sponsoring its annual St. Patrick’s Card Party at 6 p.m. on March 16 at the post home, lower level, 1301 S. Sixth St. There will be many, many door prizes provided by local merchants and a 50/50 drawing held, along with a large variety of refreshments served. Cost is $10 per person, which includes an entry for the door prize drawings and refreshments. 50/50 tickets will be sold separately. The Spinning Wheel Chapter NSDAR met in Malloy Hall on Feb. 22 for its annual President’s Day Party with the veterans. Regent Barb Wacha presided over a short business meeting. Diane Hobson and Linda Schaper were hostesses. Bill Wilson provided musical entertainment. Nine chapter members made and served root beer floats for the residents. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on March 20 at Glenwood Place. The hostesses will be Ann Heying, and Deb Hupfeld. Program will be “Recycling Education” by Nancy Mach.
