Ave Maria Study Club held its first meeting for 2025-26 on Sept. 12 in the Madonna Room of the Faith Formation Building at St. Henry in Marshalltown with 13 members and two guests present. The meeting began with a salad luncheon hosted by the officers Sandy Good, Rose Ann Jero, Kathy Slater and Marj Higgins. The September General Meeting of the VFW Post 839 was held at the Post Home on Sept. 16. President Theresa Shepherd called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the opening ceremonies according to the Ritual. There were 12 members present and one guest.
