Sigma Master hosts fall meeting

Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch at noon on Oct. 10 at Pizza Ranch. In the absence of President Diane Hobson Secretary Alice Nicholson conducted the meeting thanking Dorothy Perry for hosting the day. Roll call was taken with the question: “What do you like about fall?” Six members and two guests were present and two were excused. Minutes of the September meeting were read with no additions or corrections. Barb Noid gave the treasurer’s report with only two unpaid dues. Chapter JU visits Grimes Farm

Twelve members of Chapter JU of the P.E.O. Sisterhood attended the Oct. 2 meeting which was held at Grimes Farm Conservation Center, hosted by Patty Bowman, Ann Bresler, Janelle Carter and Julie Schlesinger. A business meeting was conducted. Following a “shared brown bag lunch,” Emily Herring gave an update on conservation projects at the marsh wetlands near Albion, the suspension bridge at Three Bridges, Timmon’s Grove and Green Castle. Next JU chapter meeting will be 1 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the annual fundraiser and a style show by Tre’s Teal.
