Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch at Legends American Grill on May 9 with Alice Nicholson hosting. Seven members and one guest answered the opening meeting with the question “What are your plans for Mother’s Day?” Minutes of the April 11 meeting was read and approved, along with Barb Noid giving the Treasurer’s Report. “It is our pleasure to award $1,000 scholarships to Alexa McKeever, Bawi Par and Chesni Uhde,” said Ladonna Allison, chair of the local scholarship committee for Chapter BB. McKeever is the daughter of Jeremiah and Katherine McKeever. She plans on attending Iowa State University to major in event management and minor in marketing. Par is the daughter of Hoi Par. The Spinning Wheel Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution met on April 21 with nine members and one associate member attending. Diane Hobson, chaplain pro tem opened the meeting with prayer. The Agenda was adopted. Regent Hunt read the March minutes and they were approved as read, and then appointed Marlys Ankrum as secretary pro tem.
