VFW Auxiliary discusses upcoming Tip Nights, membership

The VFW 839 Auxiliary meeting held on July 16 at the Post Home. President Theresa Shepherd called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. followed by the opening ceremonies according to Ritual. Secretary Pam Gorham took roll call and there were 10 members in attendance. Installation of new member by Deloris Clayton for the duty of 2027. Mike Long installed to be a Chaplain. ALA Unit 46 stalls new officers at July 14 meeting

The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Deb Miller followed by opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, standing in silence and the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary. June meeting minutes were read by Kellie Allen. A motion to approve as read was made by Meg Sponseller and seconded by Liz Stewart. Dorothy Hellberg gave the treasurer’s report noting the deposits and disbursements. The Unit received many thank you notes from those who received donations from us since the June meeting.
