Three advanced practice providers join emergency department

UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown announces three new mid-level providers, Andrew Dolfie, PA, Ryan Foulkes, ARNP and Rachael Clark, ARNP will be joining the UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown Emergency Department beginning in April.

These providers join the existing Emergency Department team which includes Drs. Lance VanGundy, Ross Huffman and Joe Ahulwalia.

Dolfie, a physician assistant will begin April 1. He is a graduate of South College in Tennessee. Foulkes, an advanced registered nurse practitioner also begins April 1 and graduated from Allen College in Waterloo. Clark, an advanced registered nurse practitioner begins April 16 and is a graduate of Allen College in Waterloo.

Later this year, the Emergency Department will continue to expand with the addition of two new advanced practice providers and a physician yet to be named.

“The patient and family experience at UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown is of the utmost importance. With the addition of these three new providers, we are working to improve the overall quality and experience of our patient care,” said Dustin Wright, president of UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown. “Having our Emergency Department staffed with employed providers is one of our top priorities and helps streamline our processes and procedures. This will dramatically improve the continuity of care for our patients and families.”

Yesway buys Marshalltown convenience store

DES MOINES — Yesway has recently announced the further expansion of the company with the acquisition of the In & Out BP Travel Plaza, located at 1701 Iowa Ave. E in Marshalltown.

This new Yesway store further expands and enhances the company’s presence in the Iowa market, and is the newest location to be incorporated into the company’s existing portfolio of 85 stores currently operating in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. In addition, Yesway has a robust acquisition pipeline, with plans to acquire, improve and rebrand an additional 120-130 stores per year over the next several years in order to reach its goal of building a 500-location strong chain of Yesway convenience stores in selected regions of the United States.

“Our newest customers in Marshalltown will enjoy great customer service at a store that is true to the Yesway brand promise in that it will be efficient, inviting and friendly,” said Brian Trout, Yesway’s senior vice president of operations. “We aim to make life easier and each day a bit more pleasant for all of our customers and look forward to getting to know and contributing meaningfully to the community.”
