• On Wednesday, a theft of a motor vehicle valued more than $10,000 was reported in the 1800 block of Sherwood Drive.

• On Wednesday, a theft was reported to the Marshalltown Police Station.

• On Wednesday, a theft involving fraud was reported to the Marshalltown Police Station.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Benjamin Ryerson, 47, was arrested for theft-third degree.

Thursday

• Ana Laura Martinez made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel in both cases. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2022. Bond is set at $4,000 cash in each case.
