• Lashelle Shantae Thomas made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a sentencing hearing charge. Brian Mercy will continue as counsel. The sentencing hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $3,000 cash or surety.

• Carlos Valentin Don made an initial appearance on an escape from custody-felon charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 17. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.

• Bryan Adam Garcia made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 28. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Gavin Charles Adam Desautels failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge and the court found him guilty of both offenses. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75.

• Victor Manuel Gonzalez Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 28.

• Deng Majok Wol failed to appear on a public intoxication charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Larry Wayne Wolken II made an initial appearance on a ATV or ORUV-operation on roadways/highway/trails charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 5 in Magistrate Court.
