Boyd certified therapeutic shoe fitter

TOLEDO — Rhonda Boyd, customer service representative with Medicap Pharmacy in Toledo, has received her certification as a therapeutic shoe fitter.

Boyd has completed the courses for diabetic shoe fitting and inserts along with Medicare requirements and eligibility with Dr. Comfort footwear. Dr. Comfort is a worldwide leading provider of diabetic footwear and a leader recognizing the need for style, comfort and quality in the therapeutic shoe industry.

Prescription diabetic footwear can help prevent more serious foot health complications that can arise as a result of diabetes. Medicare and supplemental insurance may reimburse for all or part of the cost of Dr. Comfort shoes and prescription inserts for diabetics who meet certain general criteria.
