Bates

A local man was arrested by Marshalltown police and taken to Marshall County Jail as a result of an incident which endangered a child.

Kristopher John Bates, 32, was taken into custody Monday after officers determined he was holding a child while he pushed another individual and threw things around a residence during a domestic incident. The defendant’s action resulted in a child endangerment no injury charge, according to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in Marshall County District Court. Child endangerment is an aggravated misdemeanor. The defendant’s initial appearance is July 19.
