Neighborhood picnic celebrates end of summer

The Hope United Methodist Church hosted a neighborhood picnic on Wednesday night, and congregation members stopped by for food and fun between 5:30 and 7:30. Pastor Dani Musselman welcomed people to the picnic by holding open the door for visitors. Dinner was available free of charge, and items like hot dogs and chips were on the menu. Yard games like corn hole, croquet and even a giant set of Jenga blocks were available, and corn hole seemed to be a favorite. Pastor Dani Musselman said the event was to celebrate the end of summer and to celebrate the fun that continues into the fall. She is also new to the neighborhood, and only arrived in the beginning of July, so she was excited to get to know the neighborhood a little better during the event.
