The City of Albion announced on Friday that the boil advisory for the town has been lifted after being instituted on Wednesday.

Water for residents in the town was shut off for repairs for a major water main break on Dec. 28 before being turned back on the same day with the boil advisory in place.

Though the boil has now been lifted, officials are advising residents to be aware of possible discoloration in the water, while things settle, and to not wash whites or light colors first when doing laundry.
