A 21-year-old Marshalltown woman died as the result of an accident in the 3100 mile of Quarry Road early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 2:48 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned area for a report of a single vehicle rollover accident with unknown occupants. When they arrived on scene, the reporting party was located near the vehicle along with an unresponsive occupant, later identified as Giana D. Alvarez of Marshalltown. Alvarez was pronounced deceased on scene as a result of injuries sustained from the accident.

The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information regarding this crash investigation is encouraged to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa State Patrol or the Marshall County Communications Center.
