Members of the Marshalltown Fire Department participated in and won the 2024 Firefighter Challenge for the Des Moines Fight for Air Climb. All members climbed a total of 85 stories wearing an additional 60 pounds of turnout gear. The American Lung Association raised $220,000 during the event. This task is extremely difficult, the MFD is extremely proud of this accomplishment.
