Over three months after a crash at the intersection of East Olive Street and 12th Avenue that ultimately resulted in the death of 18-year-old Kiana Zamora, a Marshalltown woman has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, a Class C felony.
According to a press release from the Marshalltown Police Department, officers responded to a traffic accident on Oct. 19, 2025 at 12:58 a.m. and found Zamora in critical condition. She was transported to UnityPoint Health — Marshalltown, where she was treated for her injuries but later died.
The MPD and the Iowa State Patrol conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, and on Saturday, 19-year-old Boe Meh of Marshalltown was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.
Court records indicate that a search warrant for a blood, urine and/or breath specimen was executed against Meh on Oct. 20, the day after the crash. In addition to vehicular homicide, she has also been charged with failure to provide proof of financial liability insurance and driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked.
She is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $10,000 bond for the vehicular homicide charge, an $1,167.63 bond for failure to provide proof of financial liability and $491.25 bond for driving while license denied, suspended, revoked or cancelled.
According to a criminal complaint posted to Iowa Courts Online, an investigation revealed that Meh left Mi Ranchito Bar with four other passengers, including Zamora, who was riding in the backseat.
“The defendant drove at high speeds on East Olive Street next to another vehicle, failed to stop at two stop signs, and failed to stop at a stop light just prior to the crash,” the complaint reads. “When the vehicle crashed, it crashed into the Marshall County Fairgrounds sign. Data from the vehicle showed that the defendant’s vehicle reached a high of 90.7 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. The defendant admitted to being the driver of the listed vehicle. The surviving passengers also corroborated that the defendant was the driver at the time of the crash. Surveillance video was obtained of the crash and speeding.”
