Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Memorial Services of Iowa, 4208 N. Ankeny Rd, Ankeny, IA, until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Carolyn was born on August 7, 1932, to Ross and Vera (Clinite) Long in Grundy Center, IA. On February 14, 1953, she was united in marriage to Roger Van Meter, and on January 17, 1986, Carolyn was united in marriage to Eldon Mann.

Carolyn is survived by her four children: Phyllis (Ron) Bagnall, of Lakeville, MN, Bruce Van Meter, of Palm Springs, CA, Brian (Rebecca) Van Meter, of Dallas, TX, Brad (Deb) Van Meter, of Ankeny, IA, three stepchildren: Randall (Myra) Mann, Russell (Ellen) Mann and Robin (Pam) Mann, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Phyllis Ross, brothers Thomas, Carey and Homer Long, and husbands Roger and Eldon.
