DES MOINES — The Drake University women’s basketball team clinched a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title with a 77-71 victory over Bradley Friday at the Knapp Center.

The Bulldogs (20-7, 15-0) overcame a four-point fourth-quarter deficit to earn a share of the seventh MVC title in program history. Sophomore Becca Hittner scored a game-high 24 points and was joined in double figures by Maddy Dean with 15 points and Sammie Bachrodt with 12 points.

Hittner made a career-high five 3-pointers, while Bachrodt added five steals, four rebounds.

Gabi Haack was the top scorer for the Braves (12-15) with 22 points, while Vanessa Makert had 17.

Next up Drake will look to clinch the Missouri Valley outright with a win over Illinois State on Suday in its home finale.
