Comets clobber Colo-NESCO in non-conference
COLO — The BCLUW girls’ basketball team won its fifth straight game, improving to 3-0 against its future conference foes with a 46-24 victory over Colo-NESCO here Thursday night.
Allison Engle scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Comets (10-6), who will leave the North Iowa Cedar League for the Iowa Star Conference next year.
Sydney Anderson and Chloe Walters added eight points apiece, Katie Hill had six points and Savannah Moeller added four points in her varsity debut for BCLUW. Engle, Hill and Walters pulled down five rebounds apiece.
For Colo-NESCO (4-14), Callie Kohlwes had eight points and six rebounds, and Izabell Voelker added seven points.
