Rogers’ staff taking shape at Iowa State

AMES — Iowa State’s new head football coach is rounding out his support staff.

Jimmy Rogers announced the addition of 10 members of his staff during a press conference Tuesday, submitting a list of 10 new hires, pending the completion of background checks.

Rogers announced his chief of staff would be Jon Shaeffer, who has worked alongside Rogers for the last 13 years. Shaeffer will assist the Cyclones’ new football coach in off-field tasks, including scheduling and travel logistics.

Rogers previously announced that Ricky Ciccone would serve as Iowa State’s new general manager for the team, and his hiring was officially announced in Tuesday’s press conference. Ciccone assisted Rogers in building a roster last season at Washington State that had 75 newcomers but finished the year 7-6 with a win in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Kris Kracht — Head of Player Performance & Culture

Andy Lucas — Director of Recruiting Communications
