BIG FOUR HOOPS: Cyclone women secure fourth in a row
AMES — The Iowa State women’s basketball team toppled UCF 65-52 on Saturday in Big 12 Conference play inside Hilton Coliseum.
Senior guard Jada Williams paced the Cyclones (18-5, 6-5) with a team-high 23 points to go with five assists. Arianna Jackson was a major spark, drilling six 3-pointers for a career-high 18 points.
The Knights (10-11, 2-8) were led by Jacorriah Bracey with 16 points.
UNI 66, Drake 56
DES MOINES — Ryley Goebel delivered a triple-double of 18 points, 14 rebounds and a career-high 10 blocked shots to lead the Northern Iowa women’s basketball team past Drake, 66-56, on Sunday in Des Moines.
It marked UNI’s first win over Drake at the Knapp Center since 2023.
Elise Jaeger added a strong supporting effort to Goebel with a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double, and Jenna Twedt led all scorers with 19 points for the Panthers (11-10, 7-4).
Anna Becker matched her career-high with 22 points to pace Drake (6-15, 5-6).

UNI 71, Evansville 55
CEDAR FALLS — Will Hornseth’s 21 points helped Northern Iowa defeat Evansville 71-55 on Saturday.
Hornseth shot 10 of 12 from the field for the Panthers (14-9, 6-6 Missouri Valley Conference).
Bradley 87, Drake 73
DES MOINES — Alex Huibregtse had 29 points in Bradley’s 87-73 win over Drake on Saturday.
Huibregtse went 10 of 14 from the field (9 for 10 from 3-point range) for the Braves (15-8, 8-4 Missouri Valley).
Jalen Quinn led the way for the Bulldogs (12-11, 6-6) with 32 points. Andrew Alia added 13 points and 11 rebounds for Drake.
