Iowa trio named preseason All-America

IOWA CITY — Three University of Iowa football players have garnered Athlon preseason All-America honors for the 2026 season, it was announced Monday. Offensive lineman Kade Pieper was named to Athlon’s preseason first team, offensive lineman Trevor Lauck was a second-teamer, and defensive back Zach Lutmer was a fourth-team honoree. The Hawkeyes also had seven players earn preseason all-Big Ten recognition by Athlon. IOWA CITY — The University of Iowa men’s basketball team will face Virginia Tech in a neutral site matchup at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City on Nov. 10, the announcement was made last week by Complete Sports Management.
