Marshall County has more than 600 cases

DES MOINES – On Sunday, 58 additional cases of COVID-19 were confirmed for Marshall County, bringing the county total to 603. Of those, 193 have recovered.

There have been 1,977 tests conducted in the county.

The Iowa Department of Public Health also reported 470 other cases throughout the state.

There are 9,169 cases. Of those, 3,325 have recovered.

There were nine more COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Sunday, bringing the total fatalities to 184 in Iowa. Two of those deaths have been from Marshall County since the pandemic began.

There are 378 Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 133 are in intensive care units and 93 are on ventilators.

Marshall County is in Regional Medical Coordination Centers Region 1. Other counties in Region 1 are Adair, Appanoose, Boone, Carroll, Clark, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Tama, Union, Warren and Wayne.

In Region 1, 136 patients are in the hospital; 34 are in intensive care units and 23 are on ventilators.

There have been 53,186 tests conducted.
