Crack and Joint Sealing project areas for Thursday

Street preservation work in the form of HMA crack sealing starts on July 23. Work zones are: South Center Street from Linn Street to Church Street and East Anson Street from South 12th Avenue to South 18th Avenue. During this time, residential roads may be closed to thru traffic. Local access will be coordinated on-site, as needed. Working hours will be 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for night-time work.

Road Closures

The Marshall County Road Department will close one mile of Canfield Avenue between 180th Street and E29/190th Street for repairs of the intersection. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. on July 21 through 6 p.m. on July 24. Also, the work on 235th Street between Knollway and Lafayette Avenue has been extended until May 1, 2028. The damage to the road was caused by flooding. To get more information on road work, contact the Road Department at 641-754-6343.

Oppman will hold open discussion at Pachyderm Forum

The Marshall County Pachyderm Forum will meet at noon on on July 24 at Legends American Cafe. The speaker will be Garrison Oppman, who will review progress on several projects including the "Vote Your Values" initiative, the "Marshall County Speaks" precinct town hall development program and related campaign issues.  The program will be an open discussion with members involving themselves in the process of human, material and capital resource development needed to support these efforts. Members may arrive after 11 a.m. for informal discussion and lunch if they wish.
